It is only in this way that a balanced view will
be obtained of the overall health of the breed.
This is not an onerous survey but mostly a
box-ticking exercise which can now be
completed on-line at www.bgvclub.co.uk.
You do not have to be a club member to complete this survey.
This is the most important survey ever to be undertaken within the breed, not only here but worldwide. The PBGV Club of America instigated it earlier this year and, with the BGVC collecting health data from the UK and all other countries, collaboration between the two clubs will see vital information being pooled together for presentation at the 2012 World Congress in England. This will help determine whether emphasis is currently being placed in the right areas or whether there are any other health problems surfacing which need researching and therefore funding.
